The cabbage soup diet is a great addition to every weight loss plan. It will cut your calories, unhealthy sugar, starches, for a period of time while drinking lots of water and you’ll lose weight quickly. How To Make Cabbage Soup
Most websites stating that this diet makes you should cook the vegetables in water, and keep eating the same food all the time. This is complete nonsense, who would eat the same soup every day.
- Half Tbsp olive oil
- Half cups chopped onion
- Half cups diced 2-3 carrots
- SIngle cup chopped celery
- Single Tablespoon minced garlic
- Six oz. green beans
- Single medium red bell pepper
- One small cabbage (20oz), diced (four packed cups)
- Single can petite diced tomatoes (15 oz)
- Six cups low-sodium chicken broth
- Two tablespoons seasoning (Italian)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Three tablespoons diced parsley
How to make
- Pre-heat olive oil in a deep pot over average-high heat.
- Add single onion, one carrot, and celery chops, then saute six minutes.
- Add all in garlic and mix one minute longer.
- Next, Stir in green beans, cabbage, bell pepper, tomatoes, Italian seasoning, chicken broth, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Return stew to a boil, then decrease the heat to average-low, put the lid and simmer till all of the vegetables are soft about 15-20 minutes.
- Thin the soup with a few more veggies or water by a wish. Join in the parsley and serve lukewarm.
Day 1 – Fruits Day
Eat only fruits, try to avoid bananas and as much as you can while on a cabbage soup diet. So just stick to the low sugar fruits like apples, blueberries, etc. We suggest for example eating baked apples with cinnamon for breakfast, then a big fruit salad and dish of cabbage soup for the lunch. For dinner eat cabbage soup and a melon salad also. Intake some carbs with dried fruits. As a snacks, we suggest pineapples also frozen grapes, watermelon.
Day 2 – Vegetables Day
Eat only vegetables, this time try to avoid corns or some other starchy vegetables. Nevertheless, you do get to start the day with a baked potato even that you will like having a baken potatoes believe me. We suggest sweet potato chopped into cubes for breakfast, sprayed with light olive oil and cinnamon and cook it in the oven with some bell onions and bell peppers. Eat some cabbage soup for lunch, and a salad with pepper and olive oil. We suggest rice cauliflower topped with a stir fry of zucchini, for dinner, and also add some roasted carrots, and peppers with thin soy sauce.
Day 3 – Fruits and Veggies
The third day of cabbage soup diet is for fruits and veggies, again avoid bananas and corn, also can skip potatoes. So do a repeat the day one and two.
Day 4- Bananas and Yogurt
Who said no bananas, today you are going to consume only bananas and yogurt. It is not the tastiest day while on this diet, just by consuming bananas and unsweetened yogurt. Make a banana smoothie for breakfast containing bananas, almond milk, and yogurt. Eat some cabbage soup for lunch, and a large banana smoothie for dinner, if still hungry east some more cabbage soup.
Day 5- Tomato Day
Today eat only tomatoes (6-8) and protein like fish, turkey, and chicken. I had no problems with this day since I love meat and was happy to get it! I made turkey sausage patties for breakfast topped with tomatoes. For lunch, I had grilled chicken topped with tomatoes seasoned with salt, basil, pepper and cabbage soup. For dinner, I had more wonder soup, but I added turkey breakfast sausage to it and more tomatoes. Very filling. I got tired of the soup on this day. Ugh!!
Day 6- Protein and veggies
Unlike yesterday you can eat different vegetables besides tomatoes. I had turkey meat and some roasted veggies for my breakfast. For lunch have a stir-fry with some chicken and veggies. For dinner have spaghetti squashed with tomato sauce also a ground turkey. Today is no cabbage soup day, but make sure you don’t overeat everything else.
Day 7- Fruits, vegetables, and juices.
Day seven is only fruits, vegetables, and liquids, yes we know you don’t like these days. But try to survive this day, and tomorrow will check the results. For breakfast, we suggest veggie and add a huge fruit so spinach, apples, oranges, grapes, and water will be a great choice. It was so divine and sweet! It will keep you full until lunchtime! Have a large salad, cabbage soup, and a piece of watermelon for lunch. For dinner, do one more dish of riced cauliflower with roasted veggies. Baked cinnamon apples and some cantaloupe is an excellent choice for a snack.
Day 8- The Day For Checking Results
Are the results visible now? We are positive that cabbage diet it’s not the easiest diets you have ever tried by surely its one of the most effective once.
