Greek Yogurt Berry Parfait (Basic Recipe)

Plain Greek yogurt layered with berries, with granola added just before eating so it stays crunchy.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Servings: 1 serving

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup plain Greek yogurt about 170 g; check your product’s serving measure
  • ½ cup mixed strawberries and blueberries about 75 g; chop the strawberries
  • 2 tablespoons granola about 15 g, depending on the size and density of the clusters
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup optional, added only after tasting

Method

  1. Wash your hands and use clean utensils. Rinse fresh berries under running water, drain well and chop any large strawberries.
  2. Spoon half the yogurt into your container, then add half the fruit.
  3. Repeat with the remaining yogurt and fruit.
  4. Taste before adding the optional sweetener.
  5. Add the granola just before eating so it stays crunchy.

Notes

Weights are approximate kitchen conversions, especially for granola. If you use a scale, follow the gram amounts. When making it ahead, keep the granola in a separate dry container and refrigerate the yogurt and fruit at 40°F (4°C) or below.
